4. Segmental and Supra-segmental phonology.
5. Duality and Arbitrainess in Language.
6. Feminist Linguistics.
7. Bound and free morphemes.
8. Semi Vowels.
9. Compounding and inflections in word formation.

Subjective Part

Q.2:     Does language has a definite origin? Write a comprehensive note on different theories about the origin of language. Give examples.

Q.3:     What is language? Write a note on the micro and macro functions of a human language.

Q.4:     Write a detailed description of English Vowel sounds with reference to their articulation. Support your answer with examples.

Q.5:     What is a dialect? Explain how a dialect acquires the status of a standard language? Also elaborate different stages of the standardization process.

Q.6:     What is figurative language? Write a note on different figures of speech. Give examples where necessary.
